Abstract

We have demonstrated efficient TEM_oo operation of the Nd:YVO₄ rod laser, one-end-pumped by a fiber-coupled diode laser. 11.6-W linearly polarized laser output with an optical efficiency of 54% in a TEM_oo mode has been achieved.
