Abstract
The interface of the anomalous L3 phase with the solid substrate is studied using the electroconductivity measurement, ellipsometry, total internal reflection of light, optical transmission spectra and interferometry. The results show the presence of the surface induced layer with the properties different from the properties of the volume L3 phase. We conclude that this surface induced layer is the L(alpha ) phase.
