Abstract
It was used an optical fiber with a 100 mm long chirped Bragg grating to compensate the chromatic dispersion of data transmission systems. Dispersion compensated transmission over 80 Km standard single mode telecommunication fiber is demonstrated. The results show that may not be necessary the control of the chirp of the transmitted optical pulses.
