Abstract
We report a study of spectrum the Xe VIII obtained by a pulsed spectral source. We observed and classified new spectral lines which allowed us to resolve some multiplets. We are studying diffuse lines belonging to transitions to the continuum states as well as laser transitions in this ion. We also study Rydberg series and made theoretical Hartree-Fock calculation including core excited configurations.
