Abstract
Recently, the Video Conference System (VCS), especially desktop VCS becomes one research hot in multimedia technology field. VCS will manage the conference more efficiently with the multimedia database supporting. In this case, we cany out the research of VCS and developed a Video Conference System prototype —DMCS , which is supported by multimedia database with C/S architecture. In this paper, we first introduce the DMCS' architecture, then the solutions to key issues, such as conference model, data flow control policy, conference data index policies etc. At last the testing results are provided.
