Abstract
We analyze the evolution of the polarization state of quasi- linearly polarized femtosecond optical pulses in a single mode low-birefringent optical fiber. We present experimental results concerning the state of polarization of the pluses at the output of the optical fiber as a function of the initial polarization direction and for different input powers. These results are in agreement with numerical simulations.
