Abstract
Original hardware and software solutions of the electronic control are prosed for bistable FLC-based passively addressed display. Standard electronic components of STN displays are considered to be used for FLC display addressing. Solutions were tested in the transmissive bistable FLC 64 by 1 display prototype. Such an approach allows to create low cost real time passively addressed displays of SVGA and XGA matrix format with low voltage operation, fast latching times and high optical contrast of multiplexing regime.
