Abstract
Waveguide holograms (WH) can be used to obtain color coding for transmissive LCD. They can increase light efficiency of backlight by removing color filters from LCD structure and decrease the number of optical components of the display optical system, WH were recorded in photoresist layer deposited on the top of an optical glass substrate. The possibility of the integrated design of LCD with waveguide illuminator was shown.
