Abstract
In the beginning ofnineties, scientists from the A.M. Obukhov Institute ofAtmospheric Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences started in collaboration with the Institute ofthe Atmoapheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences systematical studies ofthe air pollution in the atmosphere over Beijing. In the fall of 1992 and 1996-2003 and in the summer of 1999, specroscopic measurements ofthe carbon monoxide content in the atmospheric column and local measurements of concentration of CO, black carbon, and submicrometer aerosol concentration in the surface layer were carried out in the north part of Beijing [Wang, 2001].
