Abstract
Techniques of converting 2D plans or survey data to CAD models (model-based modeling) are very labor intensive, and methods for rendering such models are generally not photo-realistic. The photogrammetric modeling technique (image-based modeling) is an interactive tool that allows the user to build a geometric model of an object based on a set of photographs. This paper adopts an approach of combination of model-based modeling and image-based modeling, make the modeling process more effective and accurate.
