Abstract
Infrared tracking means to sense and automatically track an object on the base of various infrared reflective sensors. To enhance the precision of tracking in low contrast and improve the ability of withstanding outside natural lights or diversified noises, this article puts wavelet analysis into the signal-processing of low contrast tracking. As the wavelet transform can carry out non-linear filter according to different features of signal and noise, it is of high time(position) resolution when improving the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and is insusceptible to the form of signal,thus enhances the reliability of tracking. Emulation result shows that the effect of wavelet analysis picking faint signal from noise has great advantage over traditional filtering methods.
