Abstract
The paper presents the possibilities of utilization plastic optical fibers, which cooperate with commonly available transmitters and optical receivers TOSLINK (developed by TOSHIBA), in industrial electronics systems. The optical transmission links based on plastic optical fibers allow to send digital signals in industrial environment, assuring galvanized separation. The proposed solutions were implemented and successfully tested in real-time digital systems.
