Abstract
In this paper a method for frequency estimation of a short observation of sinusoid in noise is presented. The basic measurement is obtained by means of DFT. The problem is, that in case of short signals, this approach usually offers unsatisfactory accuracy, which must be further improved. In the presented method accuracy improvement is achieved with the help of a specially selected digital filter. Efficiency of presented method has been compared with several other frequency estimation methods based on DFT.
