Abstract
It seems pertinent to ask a real-time one step fusion algorithm how all these ways of exploiting polarized-light information can be utilized to make artificial sensors such as contrast enhancement and haze reduction, breaking camouflage, optical signaling, detecting particular polarization as compass. Therefore, with proper optical setup and computer vision analysis, polarization information can be captured and used to enhance traditional polarization-insensitive visual vision techniques. In this paper, most of the exciting ways in which animals make use of the various forms of polarized light prevailing in their visual worlds will be investigated. We present the basics of polarization sensing and then discuss integrated unsupervised polarization imaging sensors.
