Abstract
The usefulness of the visualisation and animation of polarisation influence on the fibre-optic sensors in the Sagnac configuration is presented. The Jones' matrix calculus and the coherence matrix approach have been used for the fibre-optic elements and all interferometric systems description, respectively. Such uniform description gives a possibility to obtain analytical relations, which depend on fundamental system parameters. Because the final relations are usually too complicated for physical interpretation, the possibility of simulation of system work by application of the animated graphics is main subject of this paper.
