Abstract
A non-contact online detection method of molten-iron weighing based on image processing being researched in the paper. The digital image of the cross on torpedo cans can be obtained via video camera. The moved distance of the spring on flatbed can be measured through image processing. Meanwhile, the surface resolution can be flagged by the use of parallel-lines detection method. Finally, the weight and velocity of molten iron can be calculated with the elastic law.
