Abstract
In this paper, the techniques of image preprocessing and measuring stations' arrangement needed in a method for measuring missile target's 3D poses based on the stereovision principle were studied. A strategy of combining region segmentation technology with mathematical morphological tools to detect the contour of object, and then applying Hough transform method together with the least squares fit skills to obtain the central axis line of the object on the image plane was proposed and tested. The test results consistently show that the strategy has high degree of accuracy. The matters need attention in measurement stations' arrangement were illustrated. All of this can be as the important references for practicing the pose measurement method.
