Abstract
Conditions for bistability and solitons stability are defined in semiconductor laser with active and passive layers of quantum dots. It is demonstrated the way to design of base optical parameters which are critical for stability of spatial solitons. The possibility of localized structures formation from coherent excitons in thin semiconductor film is analyzed.
