Abstract
We present an overview of results obtained in the last 10-15 years in the field of constrained deterministic approximation and constrained statistical estimation of non-parametric regression functions, cumulative distribution functions and densities. The case of deterministic approximation follows from the case of statistical estimation of non-parametric regression when the noise variance is zero. Many unpublished results are announced here for the first time.
