Abstract

The next generation of image processing hardware employs modular, high performance processors and a "patch panel" video data bus. Using the VME bus for command and control signals, the user is free to arrange image processing modules in parallel and/or pipelined fashion to meet the demands of his algorithm with respect to performance of a desired task.
