A method of the quantum adsorption of atoms on a surface is proposed and experimentally implemented. The loading of atoms into a surface potential well (adsorption) was realized due to the loss of the kinetic energy in the process of the inelastic collision of two laser-excited atoms. This scheme is implemented for Rb atoms adsorbed on the surface of a YAG crystal. The dependence of the quantum adsorption rate on the laser radiation frequency is experimentally investigated. The possibility of producing microstructures of arbitrary shape that consist of atoms localized on the dielectric surface is also demonstrated and the opportunities of creation of nanostructures are discussed.

Multiple-valued logic (MVL) formalism is shown to be an effective mean to work with secret keys and to check data modification in an optical data transfer channel. Such wireless data lines are needed for multiagent robotic systems including a group of mobile robots. In order to generate secret keys by means of open optical line one can choose beforehand an arbitrary MVL function, calculate its minimized logic term and afterwards calculate a huge number of different fragments of MVL function to realize secret MVL keys. The proposed method enlarges and complements the earlier proposed effective method of MVL secret coding tables for systems with high (more than 50) number of logic levels. Some problems of correct MVL function generation are discussed. MVL check functions method is also proposed to indicate data modification in messages. MVL non-quantum coding methods can be integrated with low-throughput quantum optics data channels for additional crypto protection.

The dynamics of two identical two-level atoms in non-ideal cavity it is considered. Using approach developed before by us for case of one two-level atom, the analytical expression for density matrix of the system is presented. Dynamics of level populations, mean number of photons and correlation function for photons are calculated. Using Peres - Horodecki criteria exact expression for entanglement dynamics of two identical two-level atoms in cavity is given. Influence of detuning and damping constants are investigated.

The object of the research are the quantum transitions of a many-level system between its stationary states under the influence of an alternating external electric field. The transition amplitudes and probabilities are calculated by the method of perturbation theory in the approximation of a classical external field. It is illustrated that in the case when the external field frequency is equal to the frequency of any quantum transition, then the probability of this transition fluctuate nearly the average value which is oscillating with Rabi frequency. Probabilities of other quantum transitions are very small and change chaotically with time.

The exact wave function is found in the work for the two-atom models with nondegenerate two-photon interaction and nondegenerate raman interaction. The asymptotic solutions for system state vectors are obtained in the approximation of strong field for considered models for different initial atom states and coherent field input. The reduced entropy dynamics is described for various initial atomic states and coherent field input, some conclusions about atom-field entanglement are made. We also show the possibility for the system being initially in the pure nonentangled state to revive into this state during the evolution process for the two-atom model with nondegenerate two-photon interaction and we obtain the times of such revivals.

The temporal behavior of squeezing parameters and second order correlation function is investigated for a two atom dissipative model. The analytic expressions for considering parameters are obtained on the basis of master equation solution for coherent input. An influence of different dissipation mechanisms onto statistics and squeezing are considered.

In this article the interaction of two nonidentical two-level atoms with one mode of the electromagnetic field has been considered. The pure-state evolution of the atomic states for field initially in the coherent state and atoms in the ground state has been investigated. The possibility of the maximally entangled states at the beginning of the collapse time has been discussed.

Semileptonic decays of mesons, which contain one heavy quark, are considered in the framework of instant form of Poincare-invariant quantum mechanics (PIQM) .The parameters of quark-quark interaction potential are fixed. From description of semileptonic decay constants for light mesons is obtained a strong restriction on light quark masses. The wave functions of quark and antiquark are found by the variational method . The form factors the semileptonic decays of mesons, which contain one heavy quark are calculated.

The transitions between stationary states in multilevel quantum system under the influence of an alternating external electric field are considered in this work. Herewith the strength of external electric field changes with time by the harmonic law. The analytical expressions for quantum transitions probabilities of a system are given at the third order of perturbation theory. The dependencies of quantum transitions probabilities and average energy of a system upon interaction time and frequency of field are investigated in the case when the system is a charged particle in rectangular infinitely deep potential pit.

The main phenomena of interest here - the strong reduction of the probe pulse group speed and a similar pulse regeneration after the dark pause - are shown to be quite possible, together with the coherent states repopulation, in case of the energy levels degeneration. The result about the probe field disappearance everywhere inside a sample during the dark pause is confirmed. It is established that atomic coherence during the dark pause is stored by off-diagonal density matrix elements of A-components, whereas V-components play a destructive role. Thus, the MA-type (without V- components) is the best one, among the types considered, to get the greatest group speed reduction of a probe pulse.

The possibility of generation of three-photon correlated states (triphotons) by spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a cubic nonlinear medium which is placed in a cavity is analyzed. It is shown that the number of generated photons per mode is proportional to the square cavity finesse and to the number of longitudinal cavity modes which satisfy the condition of triple resonance. The number of photons per mode and the counting rate of a detector are estimated for typical experimental conditions.

Polarization stimulated photon echo technique is applied to measure the difference between relaxation rates of alignment and orientation of the level ³P₁ (6s6p) of ¹⁷⁴Yb. At the transition ¹S₀ (6s²) - ³P₁ (6s6p) ¹⁷⁴Yb (of type 0 ↔ 1) a collision induced echo is revealed, which is generated by two pulses of linear and mutually orthogonal polarizations. Photon echo arises exclusively due to collisions between atoms of ytterbium and buffer gases; its power depends non-monotonously on the buffer pressure, and the echo polarizations coincides with the polarization of the first exciting pulse of radiation.

The refraction is theoretically considered of ultimately short pulses at interface of two dielectrics that contains a thin film of nonlinear metamaterial. For the model of metamaterial composed of nanoparticles and magnetic nanocircuits (splitring resonators) the equations are obtained suitable for describing the coherent responses of such film. The numerical simulation demonstrates the emergence of oscillatory echo in inhomogeneous system of meta-atoms. It is supposed that the reported methods are applicable for investigation of thin metamaterial films.

A new type of nutation oscillations occurring only in the phase of an electromagnetic wave propagating in an ensemble of quantum dots is described. The interaction of the electromagnetic wave with quantum dots produces the transitions of electron between states of approximately equal energies without any changes in the intensity of the wave. The period of nutation oscillations is shown to be defined by the main parameters describing the electromagnetically induced electron transfer. Nutation effect is considered for the case of nonresonant electromagnetic pulse with a rectangular form of its amplitude.

When describing the phenomenon of bistability of optical response of an ultra thin layer consisting of two-level atoms it is important to take into account the local field correction. The account of the correction results in the improvement of existence conditions of bistability. One more bistable region is formed starting with certain value of local field parameter. Both effects are induced by the dynamical frequency shift.

According to the semi classical approximation (neglecting quantum correlations between the field and atoms)we investigate resonant and nonresonant optical effects arising in the two-layer medium that consists of three-level atoms with the A-scheme of optical transitions which are prepared so that they can undergo a super-radiant decay of their electronic states. The analytic regularities related to a linear stage of development of super-radiation in high-frequency optical channels of the medium under consideration are given in the article. Raman effect related to doublet structure of the lower level is analyzed.

The possibility of increase of the information storage time in optical memory devices based on the long-lived photon echo in rare-earth ion doped crystals provided that the latter are nanometer ones is analyzed. Taking into account that in such materials the information storage time is determined by the population lifetimes of hyperfine sublevels of a ground electron state it is possible to increase it due to the modification of phonon density of states in nanocrystals as compared to bulk crystals.

This paper is about the possibilities of optically dense impurity media spectroscopy by means of the incoherent photon echo. The theoretical model of the phenomenon is given. The results of experiment on incoherent photon echo in a crystal of ruby at liquid helium temperature are presented. Fiber optical delay line was used to make an incoherence of the excitation radiation. The dependence of the incoherent echo intensity on the excitation wavelength was studied. The echo decay curve was obtained and the phase relaxation time was found to be equal to 98 ns.

The phenomenon of multipulse photon echo in two-level quantum systems is used to construct a conceptual sketch of a device which involves two optical coprocessors operating in parallel. The device is designed for accelerated solution of NP-hard problems of discrete analysis. As an example, the application of coprocessors to the trinomial knapsack problem is considered in detail. The coprocessors work with sequences of exciting laser pulses of different amplitude-time forms and polarizations.

We inform on modelling a photon echo (PhE) shaping conditions as analog process which substitutes a part of labourconsuming computing operations at numerical calculation PhE in a formalism of quaternions algebra, and about its application for a computer construction (CC) for quaternion magnitudes.

The effects of memory incipient as a result of an irradiation of a stratum of the deuterated ferroelectric of type the order - disorder by laser impulses are explored. The given states are obliged by the existence to interaction of an electric field of a laser impulse and the dipole moments of a ferroelectric. It set, that such states can exist on times a lot of major a relaxation time of the dipole moments of a ferroelectric subsystem.

The reflective interferometer is suggested to use in measurements of spectral dependence of the phase of the reflectivity of mirrors, manufactured on a base of multi-layer semiconductor nanostructures. Interferometer is tested on the semiconductor mirror used to start the mode self-synchronization regime of the laser Nd³⁺:KGd(WO₄)₂. The technique can be applied to a wide variety of radiation wavelength, and it shows higher sensitivity of the phase characteristics measurement as compared to traditional two-beam interferometers.

Reflectivity kinetics of semiconductor samples with GaAs/AlGaAs multiple quantum wells is investigated by the pump-probe technique with temporal resolution of about 150 fs. Excitons of type E1HH1 and E1LH1 appear in the kinetics of non-stationary spectra of reflectivity in spite of high density of photo-generated two-dimensional electron gas. The difference in the shape and kinetics of nonstationary reflectivity spectra is found for the samples with different detuning of exciton transition relative the pump radiation frequency.

We demonstrate experimentally the laser control of the nonstationary anisotropy of polarizability in a pure liquid of demethilformamide (CH₃)₂NCOH at room temperature. The experiment is based on the nonresonant medium excitation by a sequence of two linear polarized laser pulses with the duration of 60 fs. The state of medium is probed by the third weak laser pulse with the registration of the ultrafast optical Kerr effect. We obtained that by using two parameters (the delay between the pump pulses and the angle between the directions of the linear polarization of two pump pulses) the molecular orientational anisotropy in liquid is controlled in the subpicosecond time scale.

Temporal shape of a primary photon echo (PPE) in a ruby is experimentally investigated. Using of special equipment, including a dye laser and a stroboscopic oscilloscope, allows to observe the "beats" of temporal shape of primary photon echo. Analysis shows that these "beats" are due to the hyperfine interaction of electrons of "Cr-53" isotope ions with their nuclei.

Based on the earlier model, the superradiant Rayleigh scattering of the high-intensity short light pulses by the Bose- Einstein condensate of rubidium vapor is studied. It is demonstrated that only six states with a certain momentum are filled when the resonance detuning is about the Rabi frequency. The first two states describe the atomic motion along the condensate due to absorption, whereas the remaining four states describe the atomic motions at angles of 450 and 1350 to the condensate axis owing to the reemission of the photon. The condensate pulsations between the state with zero momentum and the last four states are revealed. The corresponding shape of the coherent Rayleigh pulse is found for various resonance detunings.

We investigate the super-radiance decay of localized excitation in the line of two-level atoms. It is demonstrated that the excitation is underradiated. The residual part forms polarization waves propagating from areas of residual excitation to the line edge.

The processes of cooperative luminescence and superfluorescence (SF) in nanoclusters, which consist of a few neighbor particles, interacting with each other by exchange or/and electrostatic forces, are investigated theoretically. It is shown that there are two types of cooperative SF depending on the ratio between the linear size of a nanocluster and cooperative interaction range. The experiments on cooperative luminescence in Ytterbium-doped silica fibers are analyzed. It is shown that the intensity of cooperative SF in such a system should be proportional to the forth degree of Ytterbium concentration.

Within the framework of Hubbard's model in Huckel's approximation the single-partial states of strongly correlated electrons of carbon nanotubes have been investigated. Single-electronic wave functions which are looking like solitons have been constructed, and the scattering of coherent and incoherent light on the states has been investigated. The light scattering cross-section on carbon nanotubes has been calculated. The temperature dependences for energy width of quasi-elastic component and integrated intensity have been found. Nutation oscillations of an electromagnetic wave propagating through photonic crystal with resonant impurities are studied theoretically in case when one energy level of impurity is in a gap in photonic states. It is shown that this impurity energy level serves as a trap for excitation of impurity atom when two-photon relaxation processes are essential in the electromagnetic field. This effect causes self-induced medium transparency and peculiar attenuation of nutation oscillation which allow studying experimentally two-photon relaxation.

On the base of numerical experiments we demonstrate in that the process of THz generation in nonlinear optical crystal with uniaxial anisotropy can result to formation of (2+1)-dimensional half-cycle pulses at sufficiently long distance of propagation. We also observed the formation of nonsolitonic few-cycle THz pulses, which accompanies the formation of solitons.

The analysis of results of researches of value of the fine shift of the energy levels with an accuracy up to sixth order on the fine structure constant shows, that the fullest information on this problem gives the quasipotential approach. On the basis of a quasipotential method have been analysed two-photon Coulomb exchanges and new value of fine shift of the energy levels of hydrogen-like atom has been established.

The given article example of physical analogies to be entered information space-time. The opportunity of Poincare group use is shown for transition from one frame in another, for this purpose is entered invariant velocity of transition of the information. For calculation of information processes probability amplitudes is offered using path integral of Feynman.

Brane model of universe is considered for massless particle. Conservation laws inside the brane are obtained using the symmetry properties of the brane. Equation of motion is derived for massless particle using variation principle from these conservation laws. This equation includes terms accounting the variation of brane topology. Its solution is obtained at some approximations and dispersion relation for massless particle is derived.

A theorem about asymptotic estimation of multiple integral of a special type is proved for the case when the integrand peaks at the integration domain bound, but not at a point of extremum. As an example of application of this theorem the asymptotic expansion of the electromagnetic deuteron form factors at high momentum transfers is obtained in both nonrelativistic and relativistic impulse approximations. It is found that relativistic effects slow down the decrease of deuteron form factors and result in agreement between the relativistic asymptotics and experimental data at high momentum transfers. The presence of quark degrees of freedom is investigated.

We investigate effects of nonlocality in time of the interaction of a muon with a nucleus, which is caused by the polarization of electronic vacuum on the Lamb shift in muonic atoms. The vacuum-polarization corrections to the energy levels of heavy muonic atoms are calculated with and without taking into account the nonlocality of the interaction. The results of the calculations show that the nonlocal corrections to vacuum-polarization contribution to the Lamb shift are comparable with the Kallen-Sabry correction that is of order α²(Zα).

We investigate the problem of nonlocality of the effective interaction of the radiation field with a strong external field. It is shown that the use of a Lagrangian or Hamiltonian interaction density with a nonlocal form-factor for parametrizing this interaction is inconsistent. An interaction operator that allows one to take into account the natural the natural nolocality of this interaction is derived from the analysis of the relevant Feynman diagrams of quantum electrodynamics.

The problem of supercritical bound states of superheavy atoms are investigated within the formalism of the generalized quantum dynamics (GQD)developed in [J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 32, pp. 5657-5677, 1999]. We study the diving of one bound state into the lower continuum. It is shown that the formalism of the GQD provides a new insight into the problem of supercritical bound states diving into continuum and the structure of vacuum in the field of an superheavy nucleus.

Quantum statistical theory of radiation-balanced laser is constructed within method of nonequilibrium statistical operator. System of equations is derived for number of phonons and collective population difference. Their numerical solutions are obtained and discussed.

The minimum duration of pulses, that can be delayed through so called "slow light" in stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) is limited by the relatively narrow bandwidth of SBS (~15-30 MHz). This limits useful data rates to less than a few Mb/s while for telecommunication applications multi-Gb/s is required. We propose implementation of waveguide induced spectral broadening of SBS in optical fiber to allow massive increase of its bandwidth (reduction of operational pulse duration) to thereby achieve high data rate. Our analysis shows that for fiber of numerical aperture ~0.8 the SBS bandwidth is enhanced to ~15 GHz.

The high efficiency of the perturbation theory for the calculation of electromagnetic field in the non-paraxial laser radiation beam is revealed. The perturbation method is compared with the exact solution of Maxwell's equations for a non-paraxial Gaussian wave. Calculations on the microscopic particles manipulation in the laser radiation field are performed under the actual experiments conditions.
