Abstract
Plasmonic metamaterials provide a convenient experimental platform for demonstration of principles of transformational optics. Design and performance of two-dimensional focusing and imaging devices based on plasmonic metamaterials are described. Depending on frequency, these devices may operate both in the normal lens and the superlens mode. Negative index imaging and guiding of surface waves using layered plasmonic metamaterials is demonstrated. ε near zero metamaterial is realized.
