A simple mechanical model of a photon is presented. It comes directly from conservation of matter and observations of
electron - positron annihilation and electron - positron pair production. If electrons and positrons are considered
fundamental particles, there is no reason to believe that they change character between annihilation and pair production.
The most direct way to think about this is to simply believe that a photon is an electron and positron joined in a two body
orbital union, translating through space.
