Abstract
With the popularization of multicore CPU, it will be the trend of CPU and be used in lots of applications. This paper proposed a multicore-based parallelized registration algorithm, which is derived from the image registration based on different evolution. This proposed algorithm takes full advantage of the parallel ability of multicore CPU, thus it accomplishes the parallel evolution algorithm on graphic workstation, which traditionally works on supercomputer, and realizes the multicore-based parallelized fast medical image registration. The experimental results show that, the proposed algorithm has no difference in precision and stability with traditional image registration based on differential evolution, and exhibits fast convergence and a speedup almost growing linearly with the number of kernels.
