Abstract
The Metropolis Monte Carlo procedure for reconstruction of blurred output is discussed. In this approach two Monte Carlo Procedures are run at the same time. The first Monte Carlo procedure selects a pixel according to a distribution function that takes it to important input fields more frequently. The second procedure decides whether a grain should be place in or removed from the selected pixel. The criterion used to make this decision is the Mean Squared Error. If this error is reduced the move is accepted otherwise it is rejected. The results of applying the method for a slowly converging impulse response function and an input that contains three closely spaced peaks is reported. The results indicate that the input signal for this very difficult to resolve system is recovered with very good resolution.
