Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the effects of uncommon time constraints to the stopping criteria for managing timecritical decision-making in human-machine interaction. The continued growth of multimedia signal processing demands real-time solutions supporting a human-machine interactive decision process. We provide a methodology that locates best alternatives in human-machine interactive decision-making by including human perception in the effects of uncommon time constraints, instead of the prevailing heuristics. The proposed methodology contributes to the stopping criteria of such as an entry-exit control procedure using a monitor device by introducing the alert and confirm built-in functions into human-machine interaction for mitigating the misapprehension of decision makers that originates from human perception.
