Abstract
Passive polarimetery has been used for many different remote sensing applications and can provide useful signatures for certain types of phenomenology. While broadband polarimeters have many advantages, such as high signal-to-noise ratio and small ground sample distance, there has been growing interest in the development of algorithms that take advantage of both spectral and polarimetric signals. The Multispectral Aerial Passive Polarimeter System (MAPPS) aims to produce multispectral polarimetric imagery of test scenes that can be used in algorithm development efforts and phenomenology studies. Preliminary data is presented along with a calibration and processing workflow that produces registered spectral Stokes imagery.
