Abstract
S transform is a non-destructive and reversible time-frequency analysis tool. It combines advantages of short-time Fourier transform and wavelet transform. Generalized S transform has adjustable time-frequency resolution, and it can achieve better results on signal analysis and processing. In this paper, a modified time-frequency filter based on generalized S transform is constructed. Firstly, a threshold filter is used to remove most of the external noise. Then we can determine the distribution of the effective signal and noise on the time-frequency plane in order to eliminate the high frequency noise. Finally, a weighted filter is constructed to enhance the effective signal and suppress the internal noise. Simulation results show that the noise can be effectively removed and signal to noise ratio has been significantly improved.
