Abstract
The paper presents a construction and results of examinations of a small-size nitrogen laser excited by transverse electric discharge. The laser head and a feeder are contained in a common casing. The laser generates UV (λ=337. 1 nm) radiation pulses of up to 75 kW peak power and halfwidth not longer than 0.8 ns.
