Abstract
Using the extended Huygens-Fresnel principle and the altitude-dependent model of the ITU-R atmospheric turbulence structure constant model, we derive an expression for the intensity correlation function of a partially coherent beam wave through the slant turbulent medium. The result shows that as compared to Gaussian beam, intensity correlation of partially coherent beam wave is found smaller; with the inner-scale decreases, wavelength increases and turbulent strength increases, the intensity correlation tends to decrease.
