8 October 2015Real-time infrared image acquisition and display system based on PCI Express and its interfacial design
This paper presented a design of real-time infrared image acquisition and display system based on mercury cadmium telluride (HgCdTe) short-wave infrared staring camera. In this system, the short-wave infrared camera was the basic condition. It was based on mercury cadmium telluride (HgCdTe) infrared photo-detector and used the FPGA+DSP hardware structure. It also had many special functions such as manual focus, adjustable integral time, and increasable attenuator and so on. The Camera Link connecting Line Linked the camera up with the PC, and the acquisition card in the PC adopted the PCI Express x4 technology. So all the above functions and features constituted the system, and made it realize real-time acquisition and display rapidly and steadily. In the experiment, an acquisition and display interface and a playback interface were used. The former was used to control the infrared camera and adjust the acquired images in real time. And the latter was used to test the stored images and do some post processes and so on. In the experiment result, this system has reliable performances, and its functions such as real-time acquisition, display and storage are complete and accurate. This system is easy to realize and apply in engineering project.
