Abstract
The basic missions of a modern university must include and stress the exploitation of R&D. Entrepreneurship using new knowledge and techniques is being promoted by means of several procedures. This chapter briefly addresses a vision of the Spanish situation, focusing on the case of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
