Peripheral Display Architectures
Abstract
Chapter 5 showed that the performance of the human peripheral vision system is different from the central foveated region. The peripheral region might lack dramatically in angular resolution and color depth, but is more sensitive to clutter, jitter, aliasing and other display phenomenon than the foveated region. These peripheral display effects can reduce the visual experience for a wide-FOV HMD user.
