Verifying the conformity of the actual parameters to the requirements, stated in the drawing or specifications, is important to the functionality of the component and for the next higher stage in assembly, as well as to the customer for conforming to the final requirements of the assembly’s functionality. Even though all of the equipment needed to fulfill the items’ inspections may not be available, the stated requirements and suppliers’ reports should be understood to make decisions, such as approving items or rejecting them due to missing information or deviations, according to the suppliers’ reports.
