Chapter 7: Ghost Reflections, Aperture Diffraction, and Diffraction from Diffractive Optical Elements
n addition to the stray light mechanisms, there are others that can significantly affect the stray light performance of an optical system: ghost reflections, aperture diffraction, and diffraction and scattering from diffractive optical elements (DOEs, used in hybrid optics). This chapter discusses the physics of these mechanisms and multiple methods for modeling them. As with the modeling methods previously discussed, the more accurate methods require more effort to implement.
