Despite the great deal of work that has gone into the development of BSDF and system stray light models, the most accurate way to determine these quantities is often to measure them directly. Such measurements are a vital part of developing the stray light model and of validating it. This chapter discusses the techniques and equipment used to measure BSDF, TIS, and system stray light. References to companies that manufacture such equipment, as well as those that provide measurement services, are provided.
