Chapter 17: The Role of Centric-minded Holography in Material Sciences
In general, holography is the creation of a 2D light-intensity distribution on a 2D surface from a 3D environment in such a way that if the recorded intensity pattern is properly illuminated, a scene can be seen. The created scene is a 3D space impression similar to the original 3D environment that is created in the human mind. Observers can comprehend geometric relations such as distance differences and parallax, but cannot grasp the object’s scene that is in a 3D (however virtual) space; in other words, in human cortical space.
