Chapter 31:
Analog Optical Computing: Fourier Synthesis Utilizing Amplitude and∕or Phase Filters
Editor(s): George O. Reynolds; John B. DeVelis; George B. Parrent; Brian J. Thompson
Abstract
In many spatial filtering systems, inverse filters, which can be real, purely imaginary, or complex, are used to remove image degradations. These systems assume that a degraded image was created in a linear and stationary (incoherent) imaging system having a known or measurable impulse response.
