Abstract

In the previous chapters, we mainly focused on the theories of optics necessary for understanding optical systems. From this chapter on, we turn to the practical side - from general optical components to case studies for optical systems. In this chapter, some commonly used optical components are presented to show their working principles, structures, and functions in optical systems.
