Abstract

Engineering drawings constitute the second type of line drawing considered in this book. For their analysis, we define first of all the main principles that underlie ED interpretation technology. The specifics of the ED vectorization process are considered, be-cause they have an influence on further recognition stages. The most important part of this chapter is devoted to specific algorithms for the recognition of ED entities. We present a brief overview of the existing algorithms and describe new ones. Practical examples of recognition of these entities are shown.
