Abstract

This addendum contains a listing of the principal sources of optical design software at the date of publication (2008). The vendors appearing here offer software packages that are capable of complete optical design, optimization, and image evaluation. The dynamic nature of this field suggests that the reader consult the most recent reference and trade publications available and the referenced web sites to obtain up-to-date information relative to these companies, as well as possible newcomers to the field.
