Abstract

This chapter discusses radiometric parameters, units, and terminology that are commonly used to describe radiation processes. The Systeme International (SI) will be used to define terms and units. Since it would be impractical to treat all parameters here, the list is limited to those definitions necessary to discuss the topics dealt with in the remaining chapters. For additional definitions of terms and units, the reader is referred to the many existing textbooks.
