1 June 2002 Intensity compensation of a transmitted spectrum using an all-fiber Sagnac interferometer

In this paper, we describe an all-fiber Sagnac interferometer with a high-birefringence fiber loop that can be used to compensate the intensity spectrum of an optical source. The compensation is experimentally achieved by controlling the birefringence in the loop of the interferometer.
