Abstract
The Rudolf Kingslake Medal and Prize for the most noteworthy original paper to appear in Optical Engineering in 1983 (Volume 22) has been awarded to James R. Palmer of Comarco, Inc. for his paper, "Continuous wave laser damage on optical components," which appeared in the July/August 1983 issue on pages 435-446.
