Abstract
The concepts of dynamic modulation transfer function (DMTF) and degree of degradation (DD) are used for analyzing gray level image display of a phosphor based display system. Real-time restoration of the motion-degraded display images may be accomplished using one or more inverse filters whose characteristics depend on the magnitude and direction of the motion. Both DMTF and DD characteristics are used in the restoration of motion-degraded images.
