Abstract
The diffractive phase profile of holographic stereograms is calculated using different types of diffusing functions, which can be categorized in two groups: object-dependent and object-independent diffusers. It is shown that object-independent diffusing profiles lead to considerable computational savings at the expense of some interperspective leakage. Object-dependent diffusers solve that problem, but their computational complexity probably restricts their use to noninteractive displays.
