Abstract
The performance of a self-referenced two-fiber sensor system is analyzed. In this sensor, two multimode fibers of the same kind are employed for microdisplacement measurements. The analytical model is based on Fresnel and Fraunhofer approximations. Computer simulation results are also provided.
