Abstract
The author begins the book with the statement, ‘‘Getting started is often the most difficult part of a new task, and it is always the first thing to do.’’ His purpose in writing the book is to help the reader to be successful in the design and production of optical thin films. The seven chapters cover the essential elements of optical coatings.
