1 May 2000 Orthogonal wavelets in nonlinear speckle reduction for improved target recognition
Author Affiliations +
We propose a novel orthogonal wavelet-based approach to reduce speckle in synthetic aperture radar and gray-scale images for better automatic target recognition applications. We also analyze different image metrics using different thresholding and image data compression techniques.
