Abstract
We demonstrate a simple circuit that generates control signals from single or multiple flag pulses to control all-optical gates at 40 GHz. It is comprised of a Fabry-Perot filter to produce an amplitude-modulated sequence of pulses and a semiconductor optical amplifier used for pulse amplitude equalization.
